1" UPVC Motor Actuated Ball Valve – 9–24V AC/DC Failsafe – ABV08PE/9AR-E2
The Connexion ABV08PE/9AR-E2 is a 1" BSP motor actuated UPVC ball valve designed for automatic fluid shut-off and flow control in water treatment, irrigation, chemical dosing and compatible industrial process systems.
Combining a double union UPVC ball valve with a compact electric actuator, this assembly operates from a 9–24V AC/DC supply and features an integrated reserve power system for automatic failsafe operation during electrical power failure.
Available in failsafe closed or failsafe open configurations, the ABV08PE/9AR-E2 provides reliable automatic valve positioning, open and closed position feedback, and low power consumption.

Failsafe Operation – Power Failure Protection
The ABV08PE/9AR-E2 is available with two failsafe configurations to suit different application requirements.
Failsafe Closed – Power to Open
Power ON → Valve opens.
Power OFF → Reserve power automatically closes the valve.
This configuration is suitable for applications requiring automatic fluid shut-off following electrical power failure.
Failsafe Open – Power to Close
Power ON → Valve closes.
Power OFF → Reserve power automatically opens the valve.
This configuration is suitable for applications where the valve must return to its open position when electrical power is lost.
The required failsafe function must be selected when ordering.
Integrated Reserve Power System
The electric actuator incorporates a reserve power system that allows the valve to return to its designated failsafe position following loss of electrical supply.
An initial 30-second powered period is required when new to charge the reserve power system.
After initial charging, a minimum powered period of 10 seconds is specified between operations.
The actuator consumes less than 1 watt when powered but not moving.
This low-power design makes the valve suitable for automated systems where electrical efficiency and power-failure protection are important.
