Flanged Pilot-Assisted Pressure Relief Valve – Z-Tide Industrial BFL-D Series
The Z-Tide Industrial BFL-D Series is a heavy-duty flanged pilot-assisted pressure relief valve designed to automatically protect pumps, pipelines and process equipment against excessive system pressure.
Featuring an externally piloted pressure-assisted piston design, the BFL-D remains closed during normal operation and rapidly opens when system pressure reaches the selected relief setting. As pressure returns towards the set point, the valve closes progressively to help minimise hydraulic shock and pressure surges.
Manufactured from epoxy-coated ductile iron with bronze piston, cylinder and seating components, the BFL-D combines high flow capacity with robust industrial construction. Available from DN50 to DN500 with PN16 flanges as standard, with ANSI 150 lb, JIS10K, JIS20K, PN10, PN20 and alternative flange standards available.
Ideal for pump discharge protection, industrial water systems, cooling circuits, water treatment plants and large-bore pipeline pressure protection.

Manufactured using a heavy-duty epoxy-coated ductile iron body with bronze piston and precision-machined bronze, brass and stainless steel internal components, the Z-Tide Industrial BFL-D Series has been engineered for reliable long-term operation in demanding industrial environments. Its pilot-assisted pressure relief controller continuously monitors system pressure and automatically opens the main valve whenever the preset maximum pressure is exceeded, protecting pumps, pipelines and process equipment from over-pressure conditions. The patented cylindrical piston design provides exceptionally high flow capacity, while the externally mounted pressure gauge allows simple commissioning, adjustment and routine monitoring. The removable pilot controller simplifies servicing without removing the main valve body from the pipeline, reducing maintenance time and system downtime.
