ISO 5599-1 Sub-Base 5/2 Pneumatic Solenoid Valve – PS520 Series
The Shako PS520 Series is a high-flow 5/2 way ISO pneumatic solenoid valve designed for reliable directional control of double-acting pneumatic cylinders and actuators in industrial automation systems.
Available in ISO 1 and ISO 2 mounting sizes, the PS520 mounts directly onto standard ISO sub-bases or multi-station manifold systems, providing a modular solution for machine building, control panels and replacement of compatible ISO-pattern pneumatic valves.
Single-solenoid spring-return and double-solenoid versions are available, with internal pilot operation, aluminium alloy construction, IP65 protection and optional explosion-protected coils for hazardous-area applications.

Single Solenoid Operation
The single-solenoid PS520 uses internal pilot operation with spring return.
Power ON → The pilot valve shifts the main spool, directing compressed air to one actuator port while exhausting the opposite port.
Power OFF → The spring returns the spool to its normal operating position, reversing the airflow.
This configuration is ideal where a defined valve position is required when electrical power is removed.
Double Solenoid Operation
The double-solenoid PS520 provides bistable directional control.
Energising one solenoid shifts the valve to one operating position. Energising the opposite solenoid shifts the valve to the reverse position.
The spool remains in its last selected position after the electrical signal is removed until the opposite solenoid is energised.
