1" 16 Bar Brass Solenoid Valve – SHAKO PU220A-08H
The SHAKO PU220A-08H is a high-flow 1" 2/2 way normally closed zero-rated assisted-lift brass solenoid valve designed for control of compressed air, water, vacuum, light oils and compatible gases and process fluids.
Combining an assisted-lift diaphragm with a large 25mm orifice, the PU220A-08H provides exceptional flow capacity while retaining operation from zero positive pressure.
The higher-power 18.5W Class H solenoid operator provides reliable operation at pressures up to 16 Bar. This makes the PU220A-08H particularly suitable for demanding applications requiring high flow, zero-pressure starting and increased positive pressure capability.
Manufactured from forged brass with stainless steel internal components, the PU220A-08H is supplied with NBR seals as standard, with FKM (Viton), EPDM or HNBR alternatives available. Media temperatures from -40°C up to +180°C can be accommodated according to the selected seal material and suitable solenoid operator.

The assisted-lift design combines direct mechanical lifting with diaphragm assistance, allowing the valve to operate from zero positive pressure while providing a substantially larger flow path than a conventional direct acting valve.
This makes the PU220A-08H particularly suitable for systems where little or no pressure differential is available at start-up while still providing increased positive pressure capability.
The valve can also be used for suitable vacuum applications.

The large diaphragm and 25mm valve orifice provide significantly increased flow capacity compared with the smaller PU220A models.
Unlike a conventional pressure-assisted diaphragm valve, the assisted-lift construction allows operation from zero positive pressure, making the PU220A-08H particularly useful for tank discharge, low-pressure systems, vacuum equipment and applications where differential pressure cannot always be guaranteed.
The combination of a 25mm orifice, 1" connection and high-pressure configuration provides a particularly wide operating envelope for demanding industrial fluid control applications.

High Flow 16 Bar Zero-Rated Design
The SHAKO PU220A-08H combines the high flow capability of a large diaphragm valve with assisted-lift operation from zero positive pressure and increased positive pressure capability up to 16 Bar.
Its large 25mm orifice and 220mm² effective area provide significantly greater flow capacity than the smaller PU220A models, delivering 183 L/min of water at 1 Bar pressure differential through a compact 1" connection.
The mechanically assisted diaphragm allows the valve to operate where conventional pilot-operated valves may fail because insufficient pressure differential is available.
Combined with the higher-power 18.5W Class H operator, the PU220A-08H has been tested and proven for operation from vacuum through to 16 Bar, providing an unusually wide operating envelope for high-flow industrial fluid control.
The forged brass body and stainless steel internal components provide robust industrial construction, while NBR seals are supplied as standard. Optional FKM, EPDM and HNBR seals allow the valve to be configured for different compatible media and temperatures.
When fitted with the appropriate solenoid operator, the available media temperature range extends from -40°C with HNBR seals up to +180°C with FKM seals.
