DN250 PN16 Gas Safety Shut-Off Valve EN161 Elektrogas VMH910U
The Elektrogas VMH910U is a DN250 (10") PN16 flanged, 2/2 way normally closed gas safety shut-off valve with hydraulic actuator, designed for automatic isolation of natural gas, LPG, air and compatible non-aggressive gases.
Designed for gas trains, industrial burners, atmospheric gas boilers, kilns and other gas-consuming equipment, the VMH910U uses a powered hydraulic actuator to open the valve against spring and gas pressure.
The valve remains open only while electrically energised. If electrical power is removed, the hydraulic relief valve opens and the valve closes rapidly, automatically interrupting the gas flow for fail-safe operation.

Fail-Safe Hydraulic Operation
When de-energised, an internal spring holds the sealing disc closed. Inlet gas pressure acts on the disc and further assists the seal.
When electrical power is applied, the hydraulic relief valve closes and the pump pressurises the actuator oil, moving the piston and opening the valve against the combined spring and gas pressure.
Once fully open, the hydraulic pump switches off and only the relief valve consumes power.
If electrical power is interrupted, the relief valve opens and the disc closes rapidly, automatically shutting off the gas supply.

Installation Notes
The VMH910U may be installed in horizontal or vertical pipework. For vertical pipe installation, gas flow must be from bottom to top and the actuator electrical plug must face upwards.
The installation location must be protected from rain, water splashes and dripping water.
Correct gas type, operating pressure, flow rate, ambient temperature and electrical supply must be confirmed before installation.
After installation, perform the appropriate gas leak and functional tests in accordance with applicable regulations and the manufacturer's instructions.
