Description
1/8" 24V DC Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve 0–1 Bar NC – DM27
The SHAKO DM27 is a compact 1/8" BSP normally closed stainless steel solenoid valve designed for precise control of water, slightly acidic or alkaline liquids and other compatible low-pressure fluids.
Featuring an isolating diaphragm design, AISI 303 stainless steel body and FKM (Viton®) seals, the DM27 provides reliable fluid control while keeping the media separated from the solenoid mechanism.
Operating directly from zero differential pressure up to 1 bar, this 2/2 way valve is particularly suitable for low-pressure chemical dosing, laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, OEM machinery and automated fluid control systems.
The DM27 is supplied with a 24V DC, 5W solenoid coil, providing low-power operation in a compact assembly.
Normally Closed Operation
The DM27 is a 2/2 way normally closed solenoid valve with an isolating diaphragm.
Power OFF → Valve CLOSED, preventing fluid flow.
Power ON → Valve OPEN, allowing fluid to pass.
Power Failure → Valve returns to its normally closed position.
The valve operates from 0 to 1 bar differential pressure, making it suitable for low-pressure systems where conventional pressure-assisted solenoid valves may not operate reliably.
Isolating Diaphragm Design
Unlike conventional solenoid valves where the controlled fluid may enter the armature tube, the DM27 uses an isolating diaphragm to separate the media from the solenoid operating mechanism.
The manufacturer specifies that the controlled fluid contacts only the stainless steel valve body and FKM sealing material.
This construction is particularly beneficial for applications involving compatible slightly acidic or alkaline fluids, where protecting the internal solenoid mechanism from the process media is important.
The isolated media path also makes the valve suitable for selected laboratory, analytical and specialist OEM applications.
