Flanged 304 Stainless Steel Normally Open Solenoid Control Valve – Z-Tide Industrial NOBFE-S Series
The Z-Tide Industrial NOBFE-S Series is a heavy-duty flanged 2/2 way normally open 304 stainless steel solenoid control valve designed for reliable control of water, steam and compatible process fluids in large bore industrial pipelines.
Featuring an externally piloted, pressure-assisted piston design with patented anti-water hammer technology, the valve remains open when de-energised and closes when electrically energised. This makes the NOBFE-S particularly suitable for fail-safe cooling, process water, steam and industrial fluid control applications.
Available from DN50 to DN500 with PN16 flanges as standard, plus optional ANSI 150 lb, JIS10K and JIS20K flange drilling, the NOBFE-S combines exceptionally high flow capacity with controlled 3–5 second operation and robust stainless steel construction.
The main valve body, piston, seat, internals, control pipework and fittings are manufactured from 304 stainless steel, with a 316 stainless steel pilot solenoid valve for increased corrosion resistance.

Heavy-Duty Stainless Construction
The Z-Tide Industrial NOBFE-S Series is engineered for demanding industrial environments where corrosion resistance, high flow capacity and dependable fail-safe operation are essential.
The main valve incorporates a heavy-duty 304 stainless steel body with 304 stainless steel piston, seat and internal components. The external control system uses 304 stainless steel pipework and fittings together with a 316 stainless steel pilot solenoid valve, providing a robust corrosion-resistant assembly.
Its patented cylindrical piston design and externally piloted control system provide exceptionally high flow capacity while helping to reduce damaging water hammer. Controlled opening and closing over approximately 3–5 seconds is particularly advantageous on large pipelines where rapid changes in flow could otherwise produce substantial hydraulic shock.
The removable external pilot assembly also allows the control system to be serviced without removing the complete main valve body from the pipeline, helping to minimise maintenance time and plant downtime.
With a design life of 500,000 cycles and a choice of NBR, FKM, EPDM or high-temperature FFKM seals, the NOBFE-S can be configured for a wide range of industrial water, steam and compatible process fluid applications.
As a normally open valve, the NOBFE-S maintains flow when de-energised and closes when electrically energised, making it particularly suitable where continued flow is required in the event of electrical power loss.
