3/8" 12 Bar Brass Solenoid Valve – SHAKO PU220A-03H
The SHAKO PU220A-03H is a high-flow 3/8" 2/2 way normally closed zero-rated assisted-lift brass solenoid valve designed for control of compressed air, water, vacuum, light oils and compatible gases and process fluids.
Combining an assisted-lift diaphragm with a large 13mm orifice, the PU220A-03H provides substantially greater flow capacity than conventional compact direct acting solenoid valves while retaining operation from zero positive pressure.
The higher-power 18.5W solenoid operator extends the operating pressure range up to 12 Bar, making the PU220A-03H particularly suitable for demanding applications requiring high flow, zero-pressure starting and increased pressure capability.
Manufactured from forged brass with stainless steel internal components, the PU220A-03H is supplied with NBR seals as standard, with FKM (VITON), EPDM or HNBR alternatives available. Media temperatures from -40°C up to +180°C can be accommodated according to the selected seal material.

The assisted-lift design combines direct mechanical lifting with diaphragm assistance, allowing the valve to operate from zero positive pressure while providing a substantially larger flow path than a conventional direct acting valve.
This makes the PU220A-03H particularly suitable for systems where little or no pressure differential is available at start-up while still providing increased operating pressure capability.
The valve can also be used for suitable vacuum applications.

High Flow Zero-Rated Design
The SHAKO PU220A-03H combines the high flow capability of a diaphragm valve with assisted-lift operation from zero positive pressure and increased pressure capability up to 12 Bar.
Its large 13mm orifice provides substantially greater flow capacity than the smaller direct acting PU220AR Series, while the mechanically assisted diaphragm allows the valve to operate where conventional pilot-operated valves may fail because insufficient pressure differential is available.
The higher-power 18.5W solenoid operator extends the positive operating pressure range to 12 Bar while retaining the zero-rated operating principle, making the PU220A-03H particularly useful for demanding vacuum, water, air and industrial fluid control applications.
The forged brass body and stainless steel internal components provide robust industrial construction, while standard NBR seals provide temperature capability up to +90°C. Alternative FKM (Viton), EPDM and HNBR seals allow the valve to be configured for different media and temperatures, including operation down to -40°C with HNBR.
