The SHAKO PU220AR-03 is a compact 3/8" 2/2 way normally closed pressure-assisted brass solenoid valve designed for higher flow control of compressed air, water, light oils and compatible non-aggressive fluids.

Featuring an 8mm orifice and assisted-lift diaphragm design, the PU220AR-03 provides substantially increased flow capacity compared with the smaller direct acting PU220AR valves. A minimum pressure differential of 0.1 Bar is required for normal operation.

The standard 15W coil configuration operates from 0.1 to 10 Bar, while an optional higher-power 18.5W coil extends the operating pressure range to 0.1 to 16 Bar, providing increased pressure capability without sacrificing the larger 8mm flow orifice.

Its forged brass construction, compact dimensions and choice of sealing materials make the PU220AR-03 suitable for industrial water systems, pneumatic equipment, OEM machinery and general fluid control applications.

Unlike the smaller direct acting PU220AR models, the PU220AR-03 uses an assisted-lift diaphragm design to provide a much larger 8mm flow orifice.
A minimum pressure differential of 0.1 Bar is required across the valve for normal operation.

High Flow Assisted-Lift Design

The SHAKO PU220AR-03 extends the compact PU220AR Series into higher-flow applications by combining a forged brass body with an 8mm orifice and pressure-assisted diaphragm construction.
Unlike the smaller direct acting PU220AR models, the PU220AR-03 uses system pressure to assist valve operation. This allows a significantly larger flow orifice while maintaining compact overall dimensions, although a minimum pressure differential of 0.1 Bar is required.
For standard applications, the 15W coil provides an operating pressure range of 0.1 to 10 Bar. Where increased pressure capability is required, the optional 18.5W higher-power coil extends the operating range to 0.1 to 16 Bar.
This combination of compact construction, high flow capacity and optional 16 Bar operation makes the PU220AR-03 particularly suitable for industrial water, compressed air and compatible fluid systems where the smaller direct acting PU220AR valves cannot provide sufficient flow.
