High Flow Brass Steam Solenoid Valve – 10 Bar, +180°C
The SHAKO PU225S-14 is a high-capacity 1½" pressure-assisted 2/2 way normally closed brass solenoid valve designed specifically for steam and high-temperature fluid control applications.
Featuring a forged brass body, stainless steel internals, piston-assisted operation and PTFE sealing, the valve provides reliable control of steam up to 10 Bar and +180°C. It can also be used with air, water and compatible gases and fluids at pressures up to 15 Bar.
Its large 40mm orifice and Kv flow factor of 542 L/min provide very high flow capacity, making the PU225S-14 particularly suitable for industrial steam distribution, process heating, boiler services and high-temperature process applications.

Important: When fitted with the ATEX / IECEx solenoid operator, maximum media temperature is +80°C. The +180°C steam rating applies to the standard Class H high-temperature coil configuration.

The SHAKO PU225S series is designed specifically for steam and high-temperature applications. Its pressure-assisted piston construction, stainless steel internals and PTFE sealing provide dependable operation at elevated temperatures while maintaining high flow capacity.
The 1½" PU225S-14 combines a 40mm orifice with a Kv flow factor of 542 L/min, providing greater flow capacity than the 1¼" PU225S-12 while retaining the same 0.5 Bar minimum operating differential.
Steam operation is rated up to 10 Bar because of the +180°C maximum media temperature. For air, water and compatible gases and fluids within the permitted temperature range, operating pressure can be up to 15 Bar.
The valve is proof tested to 30 Bar, providing a substantial test pressure margin above its maximum working pressure.
