1/4"–3/8" Brass 3/2 Normally Open Solenoid Valve – Sunwell RT
The Sunwell RT06 and RT10 Series are compact 3/2 way normally open brass solenoid valves designed for reliable control of air, water, gases, vacuum, light oils and compatible low-viscosity fluids.
Using a direct acting plunger design, the RT Series operates from zero pressure differential and provides normally open, fail-open operation. When the coil is energised the valve switches flow between its three ports, returning automatically to its normal position when electrical power is removed.
Available with 1/4" or 3/8" BSP connections, five orifice configurations and working pressures up to 12 Bar, the RT Series combines compact dimensions with fast switching and flexible seal selection for pneumatic, process control and OEM applications.

The direct acting design allows the RT06 and RT10 to operate reliably from 0 Bar without requiring a minimum pressure differential.
This makes the valve particularly suitable for pneumatic circuits, vacuum applications, low-pressure systems and other duties where a conventional pressure-assisted valve may not operate reliably.

The RT Series provides three ports for switching between the inlet, outlet and exhaust or alternative flow connection.

Maximum working pressure depends on the selected orifice:
✓ 1.3mm – Up to 12 Bar
✓ 1.6mm – Up to 10 Bar
✓ 2.0mm – Up to 8 Bar
✓ 2.5mm – Up to 6 Bar
✓ 3.0mm – Up to 4 Bar
This allows smaller orifices to be selected for higher-pressure duties, while larger configurations provide increased flow where maximum pressure is lower.

Compact 3/2 Direct Acting Design
The Sunwell RT Series combines three-way switching with true zero-pressure direct acting operation in a compact brass valve.
Unlike pressure-assisted designs, the RT does not rely on system pressure to switch. This provides reliable operation at zero and low pressure and makes it particularly useful for vacuum, pneumatic pilot control and specialist OEM applications.
The choice of five orifice sizes allows the valve to be configured according to the required balance between operating pressure and flow.
