Description
Pneumatic Safety Shut-Off Isolation Valve – Shako VHT
The Shako VHT Series is a lockable 3/2 way manual pneumatic safety shut-off valve designed to safely isolate compressed air systems during maintenance, servicing and repair.
A 90° rotary handle provides clear manual ON/OFF control, with visible SUP/EXH markings allowing the operating state to be quickly identified. When the air supply is shut off, the valve exhausts residual downstream pressure, helping prevent accidental movement of pneumatic cylinders, actuators and machinery during maintenance.
The handle can be secured in the isolation position to help prevent accidental operation by other personnel. Available in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" port sizes, the VHT can also be directly combined with Shako UC Series modular FRL air treatment equipment.

Safety Shut-Off Operation
During normal operation, the VHT allows compressed air to pass through the valve and supply the downstream pneumatic system.
Rotating the handle through 90° to the shut-off position isolates the incoming compressed-air supply and vents residual downstream pressure through the exhaust port.
This helps remove stored pneumatic energy from downstream cylinders, actuators and equipment before maintenance work begins.
The valve can then be locked in the isolated position to reduce the risk of another person accidentally restoring the compressed-air supply while maintenance is being carried out.
Visible Operating Position
The VHT provides a clearly identifiable operating state using visible:
SUP – Supply
EXH – Exhaust
markings.
This allows maintenance and operating personnel to quickly identify whether the pneumatic supply is connected or the downstream system is isolated and exhausted.
Lockable Pneumatic Isolation
The VHT is particularly suited to maintenance isolation points where machinery must remain safely depressurised while work is undertaken.
Once rotated to the shut-off position, the handle can be secured to help prevent accidental operation by other personnel.
This provides a simple mechanical method of controlling stored pneumatic energy without requiring electrical power.
Modular FRL Installation
The VHT Series is designed for connection with Shako UC Series FRL equipment, allowing the isolation valve to form part of a modular compressed-air preparation assembly.
It can therefore be installed alongside compatible:
Filter regulators
Filter-regulator-lubricator sets
Modular air preparation assemblies
Machine compressed-air inlet systems

Quality & Reliability
The Shako VHT combines manual isolation, downstream exhaust and lockable operation in a compact pneumatic safety valve.
Its clearly visible operating position and ability to exhaust residual downstream pressure make it particularly suitable for machinery where compressed-air energy must be isolated before maintenance, servicing or repair.
