The PN22508A is a 1" normally closed irrigation solenoid valve designed for automatic water control in agricultural irrigation, sprinkler, landscaping and underground watering systems.
Featuring a heavy-duty glass-reinforced UV-resistant PA66 body, large 25mm flow orifice and 126.9 L/min water flow, the PN22508A provides high flow capacity with reliable outdoor performance.
The valve incorporates an anti-water hammer design, adjustable flow controller, manual override and external bleed screw with removable metering pin, allowing straightforward flow adjustment, manual operation and cleaning without complete valve disassembly.

Operation: Servo / pressure assisted
The PN22508A is closed when electrically de-energised and opens when power is applied to the solenoid coil.
Its pressure-assisted diaphragm design requires a minimum pressure differential of: 0.65 Bar
Operating pressure: 0.65 to 10 Bar
This design allows a relatively compact solenoid operator to control the valve's large 25mm water flow passage efficiently.

Anti-Water Hammer Design
The PN22508A incorporates controlled diaphragm operation to help reduce hydraulic shock during closing.
This helps protect irrigation pipework, pumps and associated equipment against the pressure surges and vibration that can occur when water flow is stopped rapidly.
Integrated Flow Controller
The built-in flow controller allows the maximum flow through the valve to be manually adjusted.
This is particularly useful for balancing individual irrigation zones, regulating sprinkler performance or restricting excessive flow without installing a separate flow-control valve.
Manual Override & External Bleed
The valve incorporates a manual override, allowing local operation when electrical control is unavailable or during system commissioning.
An external bleed screw and removable metering pin provide convenient access for cleaning the pilot circuit without dismantling the complete valve.
This is particularly useful in irrigation systems where small amounts of sediment or contamination can enter the water supply.
