1½" Irrigation Water Solenoid Valve – PN22514A
The PN22514A is a 1½" normally closed irrigation solenoid valve designed for high-flow automatic water control in agricultural irrigation, sprinkler, landscaping and underground watering systems.
Featuring a large 40mm flow orifice delivering 417.5 L/min water flow at 1 Bar pressure drop, the PN22514A provides substantially higher flow capacity than the smaller PN225 models while retaining the lightweight, corrosion-resistant glass-reinforced PA66 construction.
The valve incorporates anti-water hammer operation, manual override and an external bleed screw with removable metering pin, providing reliable irrigation control together with straightforward commissioning and maintenance.
Valve Function & Operation
Function: 2/2 way normally closed
Operation: Servo / pressure assisted
The PN22514A remains closed when electrical power is removed and opens when the solenoid is energised.
The pressure-assisted diaphragm design requires:
Minimum differential pressure: 0.65 Bar
Operating pressure: 0.65 to 10 Bar / approximately 150 PSI
The pressure-assisted construction allows the relatively compact solenoid operator to control the valve's much larger 40mm main flow passage.

Anti-Water Hammer Design
The PN22514A incorporates an anti-water hammer design to help reduce hydraulic shock as the valve closes.
Controlled diaphragm operation helps minimise sudden pressure surges, reducing stress on irrigation pipework, pumps, fittings and other components.
This is particularly valuable on larger 1½" irrigation systems where higher water velocity and flow can produce significantly greater hydraulic shock.
Manual Override
An integrated manual override allows the valve to be operated locally without an electrical signal.

External Bleed & Easy Cleaning
The external bleed screw incorporates a removable metering pin.
This provides convenient access for cleaning the pilot system without dismantling the complete valve — particularly useful in agricultural and irrigation installations where sediment and debris may be present in the water supply.
