2" Irrigation Water Solenoid Valve – PN22520A
The PN22520A is a 2" normally closed irrigation solenoid valve designed for high-flow automatic water control in agricultural irrigation, sprinkler, landscaping and commercial watering systems.
Featuring a large 50mm flow orifice delivering 668 L/min water flow at 1 Bar pressure drop, the PN22520A provides substantial flow capacity while using a lightweight, corrosion-resistant glass-reinforced UV-resistant PA66 body with stainless steel internal components.
The valve incorporates an anti-water hammer design, manual override and external bleed screw with removable metering pin, providing reliable automatic operation together with convenient commissioning and maintenance.
Valve Function & Operation
Function: 2/2 way normally closed
Operation: Servo / pressure assisted
The PN22520A remains closed when electrical power is removed and opens when the solenoid coil is energised.
The pressure-assisted diaphragm design requires a minimum differential pressure across the valve:
Minimum differential: 0.65 Bar
Working pressure: 0.65 to 10 Bar / approximately 150 PSI
This pressure-assisted design allows the solenoid operator to control the valve's large 50mm main flow passage efficiently.

Anti-Water Hammer Design
The PN22520A incorporates an anti-water hammer design to help reduce hydraulic shock during valve operation.
This is particularly important on a 2" valve capable of flowing 668 L/min, where sudden interruption of water flow can generate significant pressure surges.

Manual Override
