1/4" NAMUR Pneumatic Solenoid Valve – CY525-02D 3/2 & 5/2 Way
The CY525-02D is a high-flow 1/4" NAMUR double solenoid pneumatic valve designed for direct mounting onto quarter-turn pneumatic actuators used with ball valves, butterfly valves and process control equipment.
Featuring double-solenoid bistable operation, the valve remains in its last switched position after the electrical signal is removed and changes position when the opposite solenoid is energised. This makes the CY525-02D particularly suitable for double-acting pneumatic actuators where maintained valve position is required.
A reversible NAMUR switching gasket allows the same valve body to be configured for either 3/2 or 5/2 way operation. With lockable manual overrides, IP65 protection and optional ATEX / IECEx or Intrinsically Safe solenoid operators, the CY525-02D provides a flexible solution for general industrial and hazardous-area pneumatic actuator control.

Double Solenoid Operation
The CY525-02D uses two independently controlled solenoids to shift the valve spool between its operating positions.
Energising one solenoid shifts the spool to one operating position. After the electrical signal is removed, the spool remains in that position.
Energising the opposite solenoid shifts the valve to its alternate operating position, where it again remains after the signal is removed.
This bistable operation is particularly useful for double-acting pneumatic actuators where the last commanded pneumatic position needs to be maintained without continuously energising a solenoid coil.
The lockable manual overrides allow commissioning, maintenance and functional testing without electrical power.
NAMUR 3/2 & 5/2 Way Configuration
The supplied reversible NAMUR switching gasket allows the CY525-02D to be configured for either 3/2 or 5/2 way operation without replacing the valve body.
3/2 Way
Suitable for selected pneumatic actuator arrangements and specialist pneumatic control circuits requiring 3/2 way operation.
5/2 Way
Designed for directional control of double-acting pneumatic actuators, alternately supplying compressed air to each actuator chamber while exhausting the opposite chamber.
The reversible gasket provides a convenient method of changing the pneumatic configuration while retaining the same valve platform.
