1/4" 5/2 NAMUR 316 Stainless Solenoid Valve – SCY520-02S
The Shako SCY520-02S is a high-flow 1/4" 5/2 way single solenoid NAMUR valve manufactured from 316 stainless steel for direct mounting onto quarter-turn pneumatic actuators.
Designed for demanding industrial and process applications, the SCY520-02S combines a corrosion-resistant SUS316 valve body with internal pilot operation, spring return, lockable manual override and a 35mm² effective flow area.
Direct NAMUR mounting eliminates external actuator pipework, providing a compact and reliable pneumatic control package for ball valves, butterfly valves and other quarter-turn actuators. Optional ATEX / IECEx explosion-protected and Ex ia intrinsically safe solenoid operators are available for hazardous area applications.

The intrinsically safe version must be operated as part of a correctly designed Ex ia circuit using an appropriate approved intrinsically safe barrier.
Single Solenoid Operation
The SCY520-02S uses an internally piloted 5/2 way spool with single-solenoid spring-return operation.
Power ON → The solenoid pilot shifts the valve spool, supplying air to one actuator chamber while exhausting the opposite chamber.
Power OFF → The internal spring automatically returns the spool to its normal position, reversing the airflow and returning the pneumatic actuator to its normal position.
This makes the SCY520-02S particularly suitable for pneumatic actuator packages requiring a defined fail position following loss of electrical power.
NAMUR Actuator Mounting
The SCY520-02S mounts directly onto compatible quarter-turn pneumatic actuators using the NAMUR interface.
This provides a compact actuator assembly and eliminates the external tubing normally required between a conventional directional control valve and pneumatic actuator.
