ATEX Ex d 3/2 Universal Solenoid Valve – Rotex 30334-5
The Rotex 30334-5 is a high-performance ATEX Ex d explosion-proof 3/2 way universal solenoid valve designed for hazardous-area process control applications requiring flexible flow configuration, fast switching and reliable operation.
Its universal 3/2 design allows the same valve to be piped for normally closed, normally open, diverting or mixing operation, reducing the need to stock separate valve configurations. Direct acting operation provides reliable switching from vacuum through to 10 Bar without requiring a minimum pressure differential.
Manufactured with a 316 stainless steel CF8 body and 316 stainless steel internals, the 30334-5 combines bubble-tight shut-off, 9G vibration resistance, switching speeds up to 800 cycles per minute and a life expectancy exceeding 10 million cycles.
Valve Function & Operation
Function: 3/2 way universal
The universal port arrangement allows the Rotex 30334-5 to be configured as:
3/2 Normally Closed – flow is closed in the de-energised state.
3/2 Normally Open – flow is open in the de-energised state.
Diverting – directs one inlet flow between two alternative outlets.
Mixing – allows two inlet flows to be directed towards a common outlet.
Because the valve is direct acting, no pilot pressure or minimum differential pressure is required.
