Rotex ATEX Ex d Explosion-Proof Solenoid Coil – III 14mm 8W
The Rotex III 14mm is an ATEX Ex d explosion-proof solenoid coil designed for Rotex solenoid valves operating in hazardous gas and dust environments.
Featuring an 8 Watt fully rectified AC/DC design, the coil is available with either an aluminium or 316 stainless steel explosion-proof enclosure and provides IP66/IP67 environmental protection.
With a 14mm bore and compact 56mm height, it provides a certified hazardous-area operator for compatible Rotex solenoid valve assemblies.
Coil Dimensions
Bore: 14mm
Height: 56mm
Power: 8 Watts
The 14mm bore is designed for use with compatible Rotex solenoid valve armature/operator assemblies.
Voltage Options
Available voltages:
24V AC/DC
110V AC/DC
230V AC/DC
The coils are fully rectified, allowing the corresponding coil voltage to accept either AC or DC electrical input.
Explosion-Proof Housing
Housing options:
Aluminium
316 stainless steel
The 316 stainless steel enclosure provides an alternative for installations requiring increased corrosion resistance or more demanding external environmental protection.
Electrical Connection
Conduit entry: M20 × 1.5
Entry orientation: Horizontal
Ingress protection: IP67
The supplied ATEX marking also identifies the assembly as IP66/IP67.
ATEX Explosion Protection
Gas marking:
Ex db IIC T6 / T5
Dust marking:
Ex tb IIIC T80°C / T95°C Db
Protection:
IP66 / IP67
This provides explosion protection for hazardous gas and combustible dust environments when the coil is correctly installed as part of an appropriately certified assembly.
ATEX Certification TI22ATEX 278X
Typical Applications
Suitable for compatible Rotex hazardous-area solenoid valves used in oil and gas, petrochemical processing, chemical plants, process skids, refineries, tank farms, pneumatic actuator systems and industrial process control.
Why Choose the Rotex III 14mm Coil?
The Rotex III combines an 8W solenoid operator with Ex db gas and Ex tb dust protection, IP66/IP67 environmental sealing and a choice of aluminium or 316 stainless steel enclosure.
Its fully rectified design is particularly useful because the same specified coil voltage can accept AC or DC input, helping simplify replacement coil selection and hazardous-area valve inventory.
