Pneumatic Foot Operated Valve – 3/2 & 5/2 Way FSV Series
The Shako FSV Series is a heavy-duty range of 3/2 and 5/2 way pneumatic foot operated valves designed for reliable hands-free control of pneumatic cylinders, actuators and compressed air systems.
Available with either spring return or detent operation, the FSV Series allows the operator to control pneumatic equipment by foot while keeping both hands available for machine operation, component handling or assembly work.
Manufactured from durable aluminium alloy and available with an optional polycarbonate protective foot guard, the FSV Series is well suited to industrial machinery, assembly stations, packaging equipment and general factory automation. The manufacturer's specification confirms the 1/4" port, 12mm² effective area, 0–9 kgf/cm² operating range and -10°C to +60°C ambient temperature.

The spring return version operates the pneumatic valve while the foot pedal is depressed.
When the operator releases the pedal, the internal spring automatically returns the valve to its normal position.
This arrangement is suitable for applications where the pneumatic command should only remain active while the operator intentionally holds the pedal down.
Detent Operation
The detent version mechanically maintains the selected valve position after the pedal has been operated.
This allows the pneumatic command to remain selected without requiring the operator to continuously hold the foot pedal down.
A further pedal operation changes the valve state, making the detent version useful for applications requiring maintained pneumatic operation.
Optional Protective Foot Guard
An optional polycarbonate protective guard can be fitted around the foot pedal.
The guard helps protect against unintended pedal operation while retaining convenient foot access from the front.
The manufacturer's drawing shows the guard enclosing the pedal from the top and sides, with the valve mounted independently beneath it.
Mounting & Installation
The FSV Series is designed for floor or machine mounting where convenient foot-operated pneumatic control is required.
The manufacturer's dimensional drawing gives an approximate valve footprint of 177mm long × 98mm wide, with the pedal assembly approximately 87mm high. The optional guard extends the overall installation envelope and should be allowed for when planning the mounting position.

Excellent transaction, fast, great communication, tracked 24hr delivery and a very nice well manufactured valve indeed. I was paying 3 times more with original supplier and this Shako one is actually better!! Stronger foot guard, better stronger better design dent latch system and the valve body is far better than I have seen before. I would guess we will change all our machines across to these as time goes on and after that I suspect we will not need any more again.
