Rotex ATEX Ex d Explosion-Proof Solenoid Coil – II 18mm 13W
The Rotex II 18mm is a 13 Watt ATEX Ex d explosion-proof solenoid coil designed for compatible Rotex solenoid valves operating in hazardous gas and combustible dust environments.
Featuring an 18mm bore, the operator is available with either a red polyester powder-coated aluminium enclosure or 316 stainless steel enclosure, with IP66/IP67 protection for demanding industrial installations.
Available in 12V DC with surge suppression, 24V DC, 110V DC, 110V AC or 230V AC, this 13W version provides a lower-power alternative to the Rotex II 20W operator while retaining the same hazardous-area enclosure format.

Typical Applications

13W vs 20W Rotex II Coil
The 13W version is suited to compatible standard-power valve operators, while the separate 20W version provides higher magnetic power for valve configurations requiring greater operating force.
They shouldn't be presented as interchangeable purely because both use an 18mm bore; compatibility should be checked against the particular Rotex valve/operator assembly.
