1/4" 5/3 Way Double Solenoid Pneumatic Valve – PU53002D
The PU53002D is a high-flow 1/4" 5/3 way double solenoid pneumatic valve designed for precise directional control of double-acting pneumatic cylinders and actuators. Featuring internal pilot operation and selectable centre functions, it provides reliable pneumatic switching for industrial automation, OEM machinery and pneumatic control systems.
Available with either X (Exhaust Centre) or Y (Pressurised Centre) spool configurations, the PU53002D automatically returns to its defined centre position when both solenoids are de-energised, providing predictable actuator behaviour during machine operation or control signal loss.
With a surface-anodised aluminium body, lockable manual overrides, 14mm² effective flow area, IP65 protection and optional ATEX / IECEx explosion-protected coils, the PU53002D provides dependable continuous-duty operation in demanding industrial pneumatic applications.

Centre Function Options
X – Exhaust Centre
When both solenoids are de-energised, the valve returns to its centre position and both actuator ports are connected to exhaust.
This allows pressure from both sides of a double-acting pneumatic cylinder or actuator to vent when the valve is in its centre position.
Typical applications include pneumatic cylinder control, actuator venting, machine automation and applications requiring an exhaust-centre configuration.
Y – Pressurised Centre
When both solenoids are de-energised, the valve returns to its centre position with both actuator ports pressurised.
This configuration is suitable for pneumatic circuits where pressure is required at both actuator ports while the directional valve is in its centre position.
Typical applications include pneumatic clamping equipment, cylinder control systems, process automation and applications requiring a pressurised-centre configuration.
Double Solenoid Operation
Energising either solenoid shifts the valve spool from its centre position to the corresponding operating position, directing compressed air to one side of the double-acting actuator while exhausting the opposite side.
When the energised solenoid is switched off, the internal centring mechanism returns the spool to the selected X or Y centre configuration.
The lockable manual overrides allow commissioning, maintenance and functional testing without electrical power.
