1/2" 5/3 Way Double Solenoid Pneumatic Valve – PU53004D
The PU53004D is a high-flow 1/2" 5/3 way double solenoid pneumatic valve designed for precise directional control of double-acting pneumatic cylinders and actuators requiring a defined centre position. Featuring internal pilot operation and spring-centred spool control, it provides dependable pneumatic switching for industrial automation, OEM machinery and pneumatic control systems.
Available with either X (Exhaust Centre) or Y (Pressurised Centre) configurations, the PU53004D provides flexible control where actuator ports need to depressurise or remain pressurised when neither solenoid is energised.
With a large 54mm² effective flow area, surface-anodised aluminium body, manual overrides, IP65 protection and optional ATEX / IECEx explosion-protected coils, the PU53004D provides reliable continuous-duty operation in demanding industrial compressed air applications.

Centre Function Options
X – Exhaust Centre
When both solenoids are de-energised, the spring-centred spool returns to its centre position and both actuator ports are connected to exhaust.
This allows pressure from both sides of a double-acting pneumatic cylinder or actuator to be exhausted when the valve returns to its centre position.
Typical applications include cylinder depressurisation, actuator venting, pneumatic control circuits and applications requiring both actuator ports to exhaust when de-energised.
Y – Pressurised Centre
When both solenoids are de-energised, the spring-centred spool returns to its centre position and both actuator ports remain connected to the pressure supply.
This maintains pressure at both actuator ports while the valve is in its centre position.
Typical applications include actuator pressure maintenance, clamping systems, process automation and pneumatic circuits requiring both actuator ports to remain pressurised in the centre position.
Double Solenoid Operation
Energising either solenoid shifts the valve spool from its centre position to the corresponding operating position, directing compressed air to one side of the double-acting cylinder or actuator while exhausting the opposite side.
When the energised solenoid is switched off, the internal centring mechanism returns the spool to the selected X or Y centre configuration.
The manual overrides allow commissioning, maintenance and functional testing without electrical power.
